The Open Bowl

Shape a wide, generous bowl without collapse.

A bowl is a cylinder taught to bloom.

Step 1 — Start wider at the base than you'd think.
Step 2 — Each pull gently flares outward using the inside hand as the shaper.
Step 3 — Compress the rim with a chamois after every pull — it's where bowls crack first.
